Artsy Smartsy

Caroline loves to color....scribble....which is a good thing especially since we have had such rainy days.  I have kept most of her drawings that she brings home from school (except the ones that have stickers....most of those never make it to the car without all of the stickers coming of).  We are running out of room on the fridge so I came up with (part Pinterest) the idea of having a place to put her masterpieces.  I ventured over to Hobby Lobby and bought wood letters, scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, and clothespins.  The process is quite easy.

First trace your letters onto the scrapbook paper and then cut out.

Next have fun with the Mod Podge and spread it over the cut out letters onto the wood letters.

Take the clothespins and use a glue gun to attach to the letters.
Voila!

I also bought a little chalkboard with some cute little decals to hang up.

How Pinteresting

Being on 3rd shift means being off work 2 days during the week....and sending C to school.  I've been pinteresting around the house.  Here are a few things I've tried.  Note  3 out of 4 pinterests are food related.

It's Been Too Long

So I started over again......It's been too long. I'm still a confessed blog stalker.  C is still growing and amazes me every single day.  She is such a little person now and no longer just poops and eats.  She is the most affectionate little girl and kisses my boo boos or pats me on the back when I cough.  She looooooves being owwwwwsigh (outside) as she says it and is also content on playing in her room taking care of her baby dolls.  She knows all of her friends' names at school and loves to dance.  We are working on the sharing but I'm not sure that's going  too good.  I know it's a stage and this too shall pass.  Heck everything else is passing by so quickly.  C will be 2 (what?!) next month and I'm already scouring Pinterest for her Little Mermaid/Under the Sea birthday party.  I'm so excited!

C is still a tiny thing.  She can still wear 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.  She can eat like there's no tomorrow.   Don't know where she puts it.  Holding steady at 20 pounds.  That's fine with me though.  She can stay this size forever.

Anywho we are staying busy and enjoying the summer.....hopefully planning a trip to the beach in September.  This mommy needs some sun and relaxation and a good book.  An adult beverage might be nice too.

Cheesing it up on the rainy July 4th
